Bridge Brakes
You guys in any DOT maintenance department know what it is
like to go investigate a problem with machinery, only to
find that the equipment is rusted to the point that
adjustments lead to repair. In many cases the equipment, and
specifically bridge brakes become rusted to the point that
the brake no longer works, and requires a complete
replacement.

Well, on “coastal bridges” this can be a process repeated
over and over again, sometimes in months. Salt air takes no
prisoners, and even if you have an epoxy paint, the smallest
scratch leads to the same problem.

These brakes have all of the features like time delay,
auto-adjust, and all the rest, AND are constructed from high
grade stainless steel. In applications, these brakes have
proven track records, eliminating corrosion as a limiting
factor for duty cycle and life service.

carbon steel brakes on the motor support bracket, with or
without a replacement NEMA motor. Just think how fast you
could install a new brake without having to align it with
the motor?
